About Us

Fresh Word Kingdom Assemblies, declaring a bold tailor-made WORD for the times, is a ministry with a vast vision of expansion to assist in the furtherance of the Gospel throughout its current locale, the surrounding communities, the state, the country, and the world.

Divinely sanctioned within the spirit of its visionary, Wynell Freeman, and birthed on December 7, 1998, FWKA has become a vibrant, multi-ethnic congregation called to the Kingdom for such a time as this.

Christlike in character and integrity and uninhibited in its mode of worship, FWKA is a God-centered, people-conscious ministry.  Unquestionably clear regarding the New Testament charge to the propagate gospel, to that end, it stresses the Kingdom mandate of Matthew 28:19, “Go ye into all the world…” emphasizing to each parishioner the necessity of living the Gospel beyond the walls of the church.

Understanding that the primary purpose of the New Testament Church is introducing Christ to the culture, the mission then of Fresh WORD Kingdom Assemblies is to prepare stable, WORD-based Believers for victorious living; the empowerment of people for world impact; to prepare and perfect Believers for the ministry of excellence in life.  In view of the same, each component of the ministry works in tandem to yield triumphant living for each Believer with emphasis on faith, integrity, character, family harmony, servanthood, anointing for service and stewardship.

As we strongly adhere to and rely on the truth that God always designates and empowers a people to serve as a beacon light in their assigned territory,  FWKA serves as a lighthouse, emitting the blazing light of the Gospel, persuading a generation to Jesus Christ.

What We Believe

god

There is one God. He alone is the Creator of all things and the Supreme Ruler of the Universe who eternally exists in three manifestations Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  (Genesis 1:1; Deuteronomy 6:4; )

jesus christ

Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father and is God incarnate, being the fullness of the Godhead bodily and Savior of the world.  This Savior of fallen man is the eternal Son of God, conceived by Holy Spirit of the Virgin Mary, made fully God and fully man in the incarnation. His death and resurrection for our sins is our only hope of salvation of the spirit, soul, and body in this life and in the world to come. (John 3:16; Acts 4:12; Colossians 2:9; I Timothy 3:16)

holy spirit

Holy Spirit operates as the unlimited and invisible presence of Jesus Christ on earth as Comforter and Advocate, indwelling every born-again believer and making the believer’s body His temple.  He is the means by which the will of the Father is accomplished.  Holy Spirit convicts of sin, draws the sinner to Christ, and inspires faith in him to repent of sin and believe within his heart that God raised Jesus Christ from the dead and to confess with his mouth that Jesus is his personal Savior and Lord. (Ezekiel 36:26,27; John 16:7-15; I Corinthians 6:19).

salvation

Salvation is by grace alone, through faith in the death, burial, and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, in order to be saved one must personally accept these truths and thereby accept the cleansing blood of Christ, which alone atones for sin. His shed blood and bodily resurrection provide the only ground for justification and salvation for all who believe, and only such as receive Jesus Christ by faith are born of the Holy Spirit and become children of God. (John 1:12; 3:16; 14:6, Romans 8:9-10; Ephesians 2:1-10).

Salvation is wholly of God on the basis of the redemption of Jesus Christ, who died for our sins as the only sufficient sacrifice.

water baptism

Water baptism by immersion is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life.  (Acts 2:38; Romans 6:4; Galatians 3:27).

The Holy Eucharist (The Lord’s Supper)

The Holy Eucharist is not a ritual to be observed. It is a sacred service of memorial in remembrance of the death of our Lord. It signifies the New Covenant with Jesus Christ being the sacrificial lamb for humanity. It is a sacred time of fellowship with God where the believer remembers the unconditional love of the Father through the sacrifice of His Son, that only true believers should share in. (Luke 22:7-38; I Corinthians 11:23-32);

the church

The church is not a building or denomination.  It is an assembly of “called out” ones.  Therefore the true Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head.  This is the body of Christ. (Ephesians 2:19-22; Ephesians 4; Colossians 1:18).

the holy scriptures

The Holy Scriptures and its translations, not modern versions, is the infallible Word of God and is therefore without error and is eternally reliable in all matters of a Christ centered faith and practice.  (II Timothy 3:16,17).

The New Testament does not destroy the Old Testament or covenant but fulfills it through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ therefore the Scriptures shall not be added to, superseded, or changed by later tradition or revelation. Every doctrinal formation, whether of creed, confession, or theology, must be put to the test of the full counsel of God as revealed in the Scriptures consisting of 66 books, from Genesis to Malachi in the Old Testament and from Matthew to Revelation in the New Testament.

All Scripture is to be interpreted within its context and purpose.

future events

Jesus Christ will return for his church. This is our hope and has vital bearing on the personal life and service of the believer.  There will be a bodily resurrection of all the dead; of the believer to everlasting blessedness and joy with the Lord. (I Thessalonians 4:13-18)

A new heaven and a new earth will take the place of this physical plane at the return of Christ to remove and restore all things to their original created form (Revelation 21:1).
